Summer in Moena
Summer in the Dolomites
Trails for every pace, from pushchairs to via ferratas, huts with a view, alpine lakes and the valley cycle path: Moena is where it all starts.
Hikes and mountain huts
Trails for everyone start from the village: walks in the woods along the Avisio, climbs to the huts of Alpe Lusia and San Pellegrino, up to the great hikes in the Catinaccio and on the Latemar. Gondolas open in summer take you up the mountain, children included.
Lakes and Dolomite passes
A short drive takes you to Lake Carezza, at the foot of the Latemar, and to the San Pellegrino and Costalunga passes. Further up the valley are the Sella and Pordoi passes, among the most famous views in the Dolomites.
Cycling
The Fassa and Fiemme valley cycle path runs through Moena along the river, easy enough for children. Mountain bikers find routes for every level, and e-bikes can be hired in the valley.
Culture and food
Moena is a village of Ladin culture: traditional summer festivals and Puzzone di Moena, the local cheese. In the evening you dine in the centre and walk back to the apartment.
