This notice explains which personal data we collect through this website, why and for how long, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

What data and why

Booking data (name, email, phone, dates, number of guests): to manage your booking and communicate with you (performance of a contract). Guest details entered in the pre-check-in (personal and ID data): for the mandatory registration with the Italian State Police through Alloggiati Web (legal obligation, art. 109 TULPS). Payment data: handled directly by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. To prepare your stay and protect the property (legitimate interest), the host sees some details of the booking (how far ahead it was made, length, number of guests, place of residence given in the pre-check-in), any previous stays with us and their own notes: no automated decisions, no data collected from other sources.

How long

Guests' ID details are deleted automatically 30 days after check-out. Booking data is kept for as long as tax and accounting rules require (up to 10 years).

Who receives the data

Providers that help us run the service: hosting (Aruba S.p.A., Italy), payments (Stripe), email delivery, the electronic lock (Nuki, only the name linked to your access code), the virtual assistant, translations and replies to reported problems (an artificial-intelligence provider, which receives the questions and reports written in the guest area and the stay details needed to answer, never ID documents), and service messages to the host and the cleaning staff via Telegram (the host gets the stay details and reported problems; the cleaners only dates, times and the number of guests). The competent authorities, for legal obligations. We do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

We only use a technical session cookie, needed for booking and for the guest area, so no consent is required. We do not use profiling cookies or third-party analytics. To improve the website we keep our own anonymous statistics (pages viewed, booking steps, features used such as the map): no IP address or personal data, a visit code that changes every day, kept for 13 months at most; if your browser asks not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control) we record nothing. Fonts are hosted on this website and the weather forecast is downloaded by our server, so your browser does not contact external services. The maps are served by this website too (data © OpenStreetMap, Protomaps and Mapterhorn), with no connection to external servers. The "Directions" links open Google Maps only when you tap them.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access, correct, delete or restrict your data, or object to its processing, by writing to the address above. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian data protection authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
